Charles, the 9th Earl Spencer often posts updates about his sprawling ancestral home Althorp House on social media, but the latest photo pertains to a very special family wedding.
A close-up photo of a worn plaque attached to a moss-covered wall, dated 1969, read: "This wood was planted by the agricultural tenantry on the Northamptonshire and Warwickshire estates to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of Earl and Countess Spencer."
Meanwhile, the second photo showed the never-ending lawn interspersed with trees, which make up part of the estate's 13,000 acres.
"Lovely memorial to my grandparents on the wall at the back of the Park at @althorphouse - commemorating a gift to mark their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Second image: how that wood looks now, a further 54 years on. Wonderful, how the landscape here connects to family, history, and - come to that - to family history," Charles captioned the post.
His followers were delighted to hear about the insight into his family history, writing: "It looks amazing and such a lovely way be able to commemorate your family," and: "That’s wonderful!!"
Charles' home also holds several more special memories for the family, especially when it comes to relationships. Firstly, it is where he grew up with his sister Princess Diana, and where she first crossed paths with King Charles.
Rewind to 1977 when the 29-year-old Prince attended a grouse hunt at Althorp with her older sister, Sarah, whom he was dating at the time. He recalled meeting the 16-year-old, telling The Telegraph: "I remember thinking what a very jolly and amusing and attractive 16-year-old she was. I mean, great fun, and bouncy and full of life and everything."
Meanwhile, Charles Spencer also marked many of his own milestones at the Grade I listed stately home. He proposed to his ex-wife Victoria Lockwood after just six weeks of dating, and the former couple got married in 1989 at Althorp House.
Photos show Charles and Victoria in the garden, with the bride wearing a vintage cream patterned dress from Tomasz Starzewski with long sleeves, button detail down the front and a fur trim alongside the Spencer tiara.
They welcomed four children: daughter Kitty in 1990, twins Eliza and Amelia in 1992, and son Louis in 1994, before splitting in 1997.
Charles went on to marry his third wife Karen Spencer in 2011, once again choosing his home as his wedding venue.
The White Ship Down author proposed to the former model, now known as Countess Spencer, with a trilogy diamond ring that belonged to his great-grandmother, Countess Margaret Spencer. They exchanged vows on 18 June 2011 just two months after his nephew Prince William wed Princess Kate.
Very few photos have been released of their big day, but one rare picture revealed Karen wore a stunning figure-hugging lace wedding dress.
