Prince Harry popped the question to Meghan Markle in November 2017, and while the romantic moment took place behind closed doors, the royal couple have since revealed details of the special moment. Did you know it was rather similar to actress Meghan's on-screen Suits proposal when her character Rachel Zane got engaged to Mike Ross?
In the finale episode of season five, Patrick J. Adams' character Mike takes the plunge and asks his girlfriend Rachel to marry him. First up, the low-key proposal takes place in their apartment, which is lit by candlelight. Sound familiar?
As revealed in their Netflix docuseries, Harry got down on one knee in the garden of their Nottingham Cottage home, surrounded by battery operated candles.
"In the little walled garden, overlooked by the staff flats, I got 15 of those electric candles," Harry explained.
Another similarity is when it comes to the ring. For the fictitious Suits couple, it was Mike's grandma's ring – very sentimental! And Prince Harry's chosen gem also had a sweet backstory. He selected two diamonds from his late mother Princess Diana's collection and sourced another from Botswana where the couple have memories together to create one beautiful – and very heartfelt – ring.

Meghan's eagerness and excitement were matched for both proposals too, as on-screen her character asks: "Are you doing what I think you're doing?" and in real-life a candid video clip reveals she was on the phone to her friend at the time, and she whispers: "Oh my God, Jess. It's happening!"
In a BBC interview, Meghan also admitted that she didn't even wait for Harry to finish his sentence before replying "yes" to the upcoming question.
Prince Harry and Meghan went on to tie the knot at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle on Saturday 19 May 2018.
Their fairytale nuptials were watched by millions around the world, and their extra-special guestlist included swathes of celebrities as well as royalty.

A-list attendees included George and Amal Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Idris Elba and David and Victoria Beckham.
It is believed their vows were followed by emotional reception speeches and then there was some light relief for guests in the form of James Corden, who appeared wearing a King Henry VIII costume, joking that he had "no idea" what to wear to a royal wedding.
The reception was held at Frogmore House in Windsor which included an Idris Elba DJ set, sing-a-long with Elton John and impressive fireworks in the grounds.
