Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship appears to be going from strength to strength since they began dating in September – but his brother, Jason Kelce, has expressed his concerns over their whirlwind romance.
The Philadelphia Eagles center, 35, admitted that he is worried about Travis' safety due to the overwhelming attention he has received since news of their relationship came to light, calling the worldwide media attention "a lot" to deal with.
"It's certainly been weird, the level that it is now," he told NBC Sports on Sunday. "On one hand, I'm happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he's excited about [and] that he is genuine about.
"But there's another end of it where it's like, 'Man, this is a lot.'" Jason said that because of Taylor, Travis has now reached "another level of stardom" he didn't have to contend with previously.
"There's paparazzi talking about him fueling his car before the game today and I'm like, 'Is that really necessary information to share?' he continued. "This is another level of stardom that typically football players don't deal with.
"So on one hand, really, really happy for my brother and where he's at in his current situation with Taylor. But on the other hand, there's some, I think, alarms sometimes with how you know, over-in-pursuit people can be."
Jason added: "Overall, he can deal with some of this. As long as it's not becoming a threat to his safety and things like that."
The newfound attention isn't lost on Travis either. During an episode of his 'New Heights' podcast last month – which he co-hosts with Jason – he admitted the growing interest in his personal life has become obvious.
"I've noticed a few things, paparazzi outside my house, [expletive] like that, for sure. One hundred percent and they all have British accents too, or something European," he told his brother.
The intrusion into his private life could be why Travis reportedly snapped up another home in Kansas City to add to his staggering property portfolio.
According to TMZ, the football star purchased a $6 million mansion nestled in a gated community that offers more privacy than his current home. It also boasts a waterfall, an elegant swimming pool, and even a mini golf course.
Meanwhile, it's not just Travis who has fallen for Taylor, she has won his family too. His dad, Ed Kelce, gave the international superstar his seal of approval after they were photographed together at the Kansas City Chiefs game on October 12.
Ed called the 'Cruel Summer' songstress "a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman", and recalled a particular moment that won him over.
"We're sitting in the suite," he told People. "She gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around. Because in the suites everybody gets stuff and you empty it down wherever you can."
He added: "I don't think she got the diva memo. She didn't get the spoiled musician. She doesn't know how to pull that off. And that really to me said a whole lot."
