He may be Prince Charles' second cousin and Prince Philip's godson, but the wedding of Ashley Hicks to his American bride Katalina Sharkey de Solis was anything but conventional. The couple married at the groom's Oxfordshire home on Saturday, in a colourful and highly personal wedding.
Katalina, who previously worked as the director of digital at Chanel, shunned tradition and walked down the aisle in a cream lace jumpsuit – and a pair of matching bunny ears. Ashley, meanwhile, said his vows in a fancy dress chicken costume.
The couple got engaged one month into their relationship
The 34-year-old bride and her 52-year-old husband met on Instagram after being introduced by artist Donald Robertson, who is dubbed as the "Andy Warhol" of the picture-sharing site.
It comes as no surprise then that the couple asked guests to share their wedding photos online using the hashtag "ashleykatahooha". Donald, who acted as best man, also paid tribute to the social media app in his speech.

"We would like to thank Instagram for what we believe is the first super posh hook-up," Donald is heard saying in a video posted by a guest online.
The shenanigans were caught on camera throughout the night, and excitement reached an all time high when the bride's face was shoved into the wedding cake by her new stepdaughter Angelica Hicks.

"WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, STEPMONSTER! #ashleykatahooha," Angelica jokingly wrote.
Kata herself shared a picture of her cake-smeared smiling face and captioned it: "DEAREST STEPDAUGHTERS @ambrosiahicks @angelicahicks : I'LL BE STUDYING 'CINDERELLA' TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO PROPERLY REPAY YOU FOR MY CAKE FACE ✖✖credit@gianlucalongogg. credit@fleurdumalnyc. #ashleykatahooha."

The ceremony looks to have taken place outdoors, in the immaculate gardens of the groom's estate. The reception was then held in a bright red Indian tent set up outdoors.
Snacks included Hula Hoops and Tyrrell's crisps as well as Italian breadsticks, pizza and hotdogs, while guests were kept entertained with a photobooth and Polaroids.

Ashley, who is the son of Lady Pamela and architect David Hicks, met his future wife Kata in May. One month later he proposed to her with a gold and ruby ring that featured a design of an open-mouthed snake.
