If anyone had doubts whether Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll are engaged, the impressive ring that the pretty blonde debuted on Thursday night finally put a rest to rumours. Rory is said to have popped the question during a romantic break in Paris, and it seems fans can now see the proof.
The lovebirds were making their first high-profile appearance as an engaged couple, stepping out for a charity Christmas Ball in Belfast.
Erica, who wore a one-shouldered black gown, looked exquisite for the black-tie affair. She swept her hair into an elegant chignon and wore minimal jewellery – pearl earrings and a gold bangle – leaving all attention on her stunning new accessory.

It was her mammoth engagement ring that caught the attention of passers-by, which she happily flaunted on her left hand as she posed for photos with Rory. Suited and booted, the 26-year-old golfer looked just as thrilled to be standing at his future wife's side.
"Initial images suggest Erica is wearing an oval shaped diamond ring," diamond expert David Allen of 77 Diamonds told HELLO! Online. "Either formed from a cluster of smaller stones or one single solitaire this would equate to approximately six carats in total."
Rory and Erica were attending the Paddy Wallace Fund for Autism Christmas Ball. The fund, which was set up by rugby star Paddy and his wife Tina, aims to raise awareness for autism and support families and children awaiting diagnosis.

Earlier this month Rory and Erica were the subject of much speculation. The golf champion is said to have proposed in Paris after a discreet courtship of one year, according to the Irish Independent. While Rory's representatives declined to comment, the sportsman did post a picture of the Eiffel Tower on his Instagram.
When asked about his love life back in June, Rory made no secret of his new romance. "I am very happy. We haven't really been putting it out there," he told The Times.
Describing his other half, he added: "She doesn't play golf, but she is involved with golf. I have known her for three years and we are good friends. She is from America, which is why I like to spend time in Palm Beach.
"The past six or seven months have been really nice. That part of my life is going great. If everything off the golf course is good, it allows you to be better on it as well."
Rory is believed to have proposed in Paris
Rory was previously engaged to tennis ace Caroline Wozniacki. He called off the engagement in May 2014 just days after sending out the invites for a New York wedding.
Rory released a statement saying: "There is no right way to end a relationship that has been so important to two people. The problem is mine. The wedding invitations issued at the weekend made me realise that I wasn't ready for all that marriage entails."
