Former Big Breakfast presenter Donna Air is to marry her boyfriend of six months, millionaire Damian Aspinall, 40. “Marriage is a big step, but a very logical one,” she says. “I’m so in love at the moment. Damian is everything I have ever wanted in a man. It sounds corny, but it is true.”

Before she ties the knot, the 21-year-old beauty will have a bit of practice: she’s set to be Natalie Appleton’s maid of honour.

The All Saints singer and Prodigy star Liam Howlett will wed this summer and Donna is planning one last big night for her “It” girl friends Zoe Ball, Sara Cox, and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson. “I’m in charge and organising the hen night,” Donna says. “It won’t be a huge night – we don’t do that any more. We couldn’t go on at the pace we were going, we’d be dead by now. But it will be a laugh.”

Donna and The Big Breakfast parted ways last week, though it’s unclear who initiated the split. Often dubbed an airhead, Donna famously asked the Irish sibiling band The Corrs how they met.

“I’ve had a really great time, but there’s only so long a girl can keep going to bed at 7pm,” she said. Donna was promptly hired by Channel 4’s satellite channel E4 to present Donna In Need, a cheeky show in which she’ll travel around and see what a celebrity can get for free, donating all proceeds to charity.

Donna, who appears briefly in the monster US hit The Mummy Returns is said to be contemplating a move to Hollywood.
