It was a fairytale wedding when The Corrs’ violinist Sharon married her long-term partner Gavin Bonnar, 33, at the picturesque Church of St John in Cratloe, Co Clare.
Looking stunning in a sleeveless sheath gown, Sharon was surrounded by close family and friends for the big day. The service was relatively low-key with only a handful of celebrity guests including comedian Patrick Kielty and his TV presenter girlfriend Amanda Byram, DJ Tony Fenton and former Miss Ireland Andrea Roche.
Fans of the band, however, were out in force to wish the couple well. Arriving at the quaint church in a chauffer-driven blue Jaguar with her father Gerry, 68, Sharon emerged to a thunderous round of applause and stopped to chat to the 100-strong crowd that had gathered. “I’m very nervous,” the 31-year-old admitted. “I wasn’t earlier, but I most certainly am now.”
She was soon joined by her two sisters and fellow band members - Caroline, 28, was maid of honour while Andrea, 27, was a bridesmaid along with Sharon’s best friends Gillian Callan and Caroline McDonald.
Nearly 200 friends and family - including Sharon’s brother and bandmate Jim - packed into the whitewashed church, decorated with sprays of wild flowers and ivy, for the service.
