Ryanair steward Brian Dowling took home £70,000 on Friday as the new Big Brother champion, just as hellomagazine.com readers predicted. Yet despite receiving a slew of television offers – some say the 23-year-old Irishman could be the next Graham Norton – Brian is taking his close pals on holiday before returning to his job with the discount airline.
Runner-up Helen Adams, who is reportedly in talks to host Channel 4’s new breakfast show, was reunited with her two loves on Friday: housemate Paul Clarke and HELLO! magazine.
Before entering the famed house, where 33 cameras watched her every move, Helen worried about weeks without HELLO! “She’s always the first to buy it,” says her mum Liz. “She loves it.”
Helen also loves Paul. The will-they or won’t-they speculation over nine weeks fuelled the Big Brother ratings, and while Paul left the house before they could consummate their affair, the two now seem keen to continue the romance off-screen.
“He’s the kindest, most caring guy that I’ve ever met – and he’s really handsome too,” says Helen. “I really want things to work out between us.”
She's not the only one: when she came bounding out of the house, Paul was waiting for the bubbly blonde with Gucci gifts in hand. “Helen is the love of my life and I wan’t us to be together forever,” he said.
“I gave her a warm welcome with a snog,” says the 25-year-old car designer from Reading. “We knew we fell for each other in that house. All I wanted to do was to be with her.”
The entire Big Brother cast will gather for a private celebratory party this evening. “It’s going to be very special for us,” says the besotted hunk. “We can be together without microphones and cameras on us.”
Planning for season three of Big Brother is already in the works, and should hit screens this time next year.
