MAGAZINE - Christina Knudsen

There’s a real Bond-girl streak within Christina Knudsen, who married Nikolaj Albinus in an incredibly romantic and star-studded ceremony in the south of France on August 25.

Her new husband, a City banker, acknowledges that he fell in love “not only with Christina’s beauty but with her strength, and her sense of daring and adventure.”

It wouldn’t be surprising if the fearless exploits of big-screen Bond girls had made an impact on 32-year-old Christina. After all, she is extremely close to a real-life James Bond. Former 007 Roger Moore has lived with her mother, Kiki Tholsrup, since 1994 but Christina has known the actor since she was nine: their families grew up together as neighbours and close friends in the south of France.

With a guest list that included such names as Michael and Shakira Caine, Shirley Bassey, Oliver Tobias and Michael Winner, the wedding, which took place in a picturesque village in the hills behind Cannes was one of the celebrity events of the year.
