Wedding bells are in the air for Swedish tennis legend Bjorn Borg who is celebrating his engagement to 31-year-old Patricia Ostfeldt. The ex-tennis star started dating mother-of-two, Patricia – who is also Swedish - six months ago and they hit it off immediately. Forty-five-year-old Borg told Swedish newspaper Expressen “It sounds ridiculous of course when I say that I’ve never been happier. But that’s the way it is. That’s exactly the way it is.”

The five-time Wimbledon champion, who has a 17-year-old son from a previous relationship with model Jannike Bjorling, was married to Rumanian Mariana Simionescu and has also lived with Italian pop singer Loredana Berte.

From 1976 to 1981 the athletic star won 11 grand slam titles but shocked the tennis world in 1983 when, at the age of 26, he announced his retirement. In 1991, however, he made a relatively unsuccessful comeback before finally hanging up his racquet at the end of last year. Borg still competes in exhibition tournaments and has launched his own line of sportswear and accessories.

Borg is scheduled to play in a veterans' competition in Paris this week, which will be followed by a trip to Corsica with Patricia.
