Though St Andrews fresher Prince William may be the heir to the throne, readers of a popular UK teen magazine say his younger brother Prince Harry is the king of hearts. More than one million music fans voted for their 100 sexiest stars, ranking hunky Harry at 40 above R&B star Sisqo and cheeky TV presenters Ant and Dec. And while Manchester United heart-throb David Beckham edged out Harry by just one place, the young royal can take comfort in the fact that his elder brother Wills didn’t even make the cut.
The lads of Westlife, busy planning another US onslaught in the hopes of finding success across the Atlantic, are all represented in the Top 50. Proud papa Bryan McFadden ranked 22 on the list, while bandmates Nicky Byrne and Mark Feehily scored at 18 and 13, respectively. Kian Egan outpaced Justin Timberlake of ’N Sync and rapper Eminem to crack the top five while Shane Filan scored at number one. Other boy babes to rate include Ronan Keating at number three, Craig David at 11, and Robbie Williams at 28.
And while Britney Spears may be top of the pops worldwide, she’ll have to settle for number two in the Smash Hits magazine poll as S Club 7’s Rachel Stevens was named sexiest female. Britney’s rival Christina Aguilera rated 22 in the poll, behind Samantha Mumba, Beyonce Knowles of Destiny’s Child and sultry actress Angelina Jolie.
Aussie Kylie Minogue, who scored her third number one single this week with Can’t Get You Out Of My Mind, further distanced herself from rival Victoria Beckham by landing at number 19 on the poll. Posh Spice failed to make the list. In fact, only two Spices charted: Emma Bunton at number four and Geri at 24.
