Sultry star Jennifer Lopez is set to marry her choreographer boyfriend Cris Judd in a hush hush LA wedding on Saturday, report insiders. Famed hairdresser Oribe, based out of New York’s ultra-posh Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salon, is to work his magic on J Lo’s locks – at a cost of $15,000 – as Tommy Hilfiger, Vince Vaughn and Andy Garcia gather to watch the Selena star walk down the aisle in a secret ceremony.
Talk of wedding bells for the top-selling singer had circulated at least since the Oscars last March, where Jen’s former flame Sean “Puffy”Combs first crossed paths with Cris. However, it wasn’t until June that the couple made any official plans. Cris reportedly proposed to the 31-year-old star amongst friends at a barbecue, taking her out the next day to Rafinity jewellers in Santa Monica. The two emerged from the ultra-exclusive shop with a sizable diamond engagement ring inscribed with the letters JCJ, standing for Jennifer Cris Judd.
The pair met on the set of her Love Don’t Cost A Thing video and were later spotted at a February 10 Saturday Night Live bash heating up the dance floor and sipping champagne from the same glass. Cris was said to have comforted the Wedding Planner star in the wake of her Valentine’s Day split from rap impresario Sean and the two later struck up a romance.
This will be Cris’s first trip to the altar and Jennifer’s second. She wed Cuban-born model and waiter Ojani Noa in 1997, though the two split just 18 months later. She and Puffy were rumoured to have discussed tying the knot, but their relationship faltered in the course of his much-publicised trial.
“The past is the past,” she said at the time. “You learn lessons.”
