To the lilting sounds of bagpipes, guests arrived at Hampton Court Palace for a magical evening in aid of the Cliff Richard Tennis Foundation “Kids On Court” Campaign.

A home through history to some of Britain’s most famous monarchs, the flambeaux-lit venue lent itself perfectly to this year’s fundraiser, the theme of which was Tudor Rose and William of Orange.

Arrivals – including Sarah, Duches of York, Cherie Blair, William and Ffion Hague, campaign president Sue Barker and former tennis aces Annabel Croft, Jeremy Bates and Andrew Castle – were ushered by a Yeoman up the famous King’s Staircase. They proceeded through rooms adorned with stunning floral displays by Interflora and dotted with twinkling fairy lights.

To the beat of two Royal Marine drummers, the glamorous guests made their way to the champagne reception in the Cartoon Gallery where they were greeted by the evening’s host Sir Cliff Richard.
