Bless ‘em all. Bless ‘em all. Bless the Wongs and the chic and the tall. You sure got promotion – besides an ocean of champagne – at Andy and Patti Wong’s fabarama party to celebrate Chinese New Year.
For eight years now, banker Andy and his beautiful wife Patti, who is the oriental porcelain expert at Sotheby’s have been entertaining their friends at these blast-off bashes. Each time they have chosen a different and often wildly original venue – last year’s was the only amusing party given in the Dome – but this one really beat the band.
The intriguing theme was ‘Mystery, Vamp And Seduction’, and the Reform Club in Pall Mall reeled with rockin’ royalty, fabled film stars, near-divine divas, power-packing politicos, diamond decked Indian princes, princesses in egg-sized emeralds… and silver and gold, glamour and glitz, off-the-shoulder ball gowns and off-the-wall glad-rags.
