Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue was the queen of Monaco on Wednesday night after being presented with a Best-selling Australian Artist gong at the World Music Awards in the Principality. Dressed in thigh-high boots and a barely there little number from Dolce & Gabbana, the 33-year-old from Down Under delivered a sizzling performance, belting out her number one hit "Can’t Get You Out Of My Head" in front of a crowd that included supermodel Naomi Campbell, DJ and singer Sonique, and Wonderbra model Adriana Karembeu. Just before going on stage, Kylie was told that her album "Fever" had gone to number three in the US album charts.

“It has been a fabulous year for me,” said the petite popster. “When I heard about the number three, I screamed at the top of my voice. I couldn’t believe it. I had to ask my manager if it was true, and then I screamed again.” Career-wise, the singer is currently riding the crest of a wave, having recently earned two Brit Awards as Best International Female and Best International Album with "Fever" and picking up a Best Pop Act gong at the NME Awards.

Also honoured in Monaco were hot platinum-selling Latin artist Enrique Iglesias, who sang his most recent hit "Hero", Destiny’s Child, who picked up a trio of awards, and Dido – voted Best-selling British artist, Pop Female, and Adult Contemporary. The 30-year-old London-born vocalist was absent from the glittering gala, however, as she was performing at Germany’s equivalent of the Brits – the Echo Awards. Irish singer Enya also picked up a clutch of trophies, including one for Best-selling Female Worldwide.

Another high spot in the evening was Gloria Gaynor’s performance of her classic hit "I Will Survive". The disco diva was on hand to pick up a Lifetime Achievement trophy.
