With an accused stalker in custody and a possible paternity battle underway, what’s a new mum to do? Elizabeth Hurley has turned to longtime friend Elton John for support, and headed straight to his £6 million Old Windsor, Berkshire, mansion with eight-day-old son Damian after leaving hospital Tuesday night.
The Austin Powers actress and her baby are staying at Elton’s Woodside – a fully-staffed ultra-private 37-acre estate – while the rock star is away touring the US. David Furnish, the Candle In The Wind singer’s partner, has temporarily moved to his West London home “to give her some space”, according to a source.
Elton is known for his kindness, and frequently lends a helping hand to his celebrity friends during troubled times. He offered his luxury estate in the south of France to Victoria Beckham when she gave birth to Brooklyn, and Robbie Williams reportedly turned to him for guidance in his substance abuse battle.
While Liz is seeking solace with her good friend Elton, the man she says is Damian’s daddy, producer Steve Bing, is seeking comfort of a different sort. Reports say the multimillionaire, who has publicly questioned Liz’s claim that he is the father, has consulted with Rambo actor Sylvester Stallone for advice on fighting paternity suits.
Sly, who befriended Steve on the set of the 2000 film Get Carter, successfully won a similar case against his ex, Janice Dickinson, in 1994.
