Paul McCartney’s bride-to-be, Heather Mills, has spent ₤50,000 on doing up her ₤1 million home on England's south coast in preparation for a hen party planned for 30 close friends this weekend.
The 34-year-old former model, who is set to marry Macca next week, has had hi-tech TV screens and a new sound system installed for the festivities - and has told the workmen that the job needs finishing by Friday. “Work has been going on for two months but we were told to be out by Friday or we would not get paid,” said a builder involved in the two-month-long makeover.
"There has been no expense spared," he revealed. The house has been completely redecorated from top to bottom. New carpet, new wallpaper, you name it, everything is brand spanking new.”
As for the big day itself, the ex-Beatle has said he wants “to get wed with a bit of privacy”, and has kept the venue for the nuptials a secret. Guests have been invited to assemble at London's Gatwick airport, from where they will be flown to a mystery location - believed to be East Hampton on New York state's Long Island.
