Imagine being stranded on an Australian island with ‘It’ girl Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, DJ Tony Blackburn, and spoon-bending psychic Uri Geller. Well, pretty soon it won’t be just a fantasy – the trio, along with four other big names, will be roughing it on a deserted isle in the name of charity on ITV1’s show biz Survivor, aptly titled: I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Buxom model Nell McAndrew was the first to sign up for the programme, and now the full roster of stars ready to build their own shelters, hunt for food, and defend themselves against wild animals in sweltering heat for two weeks has been confirmed. Boxer-turned-DJ Nigel Benn, pop idol Darren Day, comedian Rhona Cameron, and ex-Minister’s wife Christine Hamilton have all accepted the challenge.

Viewers at home will be able to vote by phone to decide which of the stranded celebs will have to tackle difficult tasks to earn food as well as who will be kicked off the island, located just off Queensland. Proceeds from the telephone lines will be donated to worthy causes.

The show, set to air in late August, will be presented by Ant and Dec.
