Newlyweds Heather Mills and Sir Paul would welcome a child of their own, the former model has revealed.
Heather, 34, said she and 60-year-old Sir Paul are letting nature take its course, but she also admitted that after two ectopic pregnancies during her first marriage, she will be lucky to conceive.
“I just say what will be will be,” Lady McCartney told the American magazine Vanity Fair. “I adore kids and if it happens it happens, but I’ve seen too many people get upset about it. And I don’t know whether I could ever have a child because of the ectopics.”
The closest the couple had come to admitting they were starting a family was in October last year when the singer said he had not ruled out becoming a father again. Heather also said that her new husband had refused to let her sign a pre-nuptial agreement.
It had been reported that his children had insisted she sign one, giving her £20 million if the couple divorced.
Heather says, however, she offered to sign an agreement prior to her wedding because she “wanted to prove that I love him for him”.
But Paul, who is worth an estimated £715 million, was having none of it. The interview certainly adds fuel to reports that there is a rift between Heather and her husband’s daughters. Asked why Stella, one of the country’s leading fashion designers, had not been consulted on her wedding dress, it quotes the former model as saying “coldly”: “She never offered.”
Heather and Sir Paul were married in June at Castle Leslie, Ireland.
