David Beckham’s younger fans will soon be able to kit themselves out like their hero thanks to a new line of kids’ clothes the top footballer has launched for high street giant Marks and Spencer.

The clothes range, called DB07, features T-shirts, hooded tops and baggy jeans - all complete with Beckham logos - and will be available in basic trendy colours like white, navy and red. The items form “a hip-hop inspired range that he (David) would´ve loved to wear as a kid,” says M&S.

Pleased to collaborate on the project, the England captain says: “Working with M&S has given me the chance to see something develop. I wanted to create clothes that are different to what you normally expect to see in the store – that kids get excited about wearing.”

The clothes look set to appeal to girls and boys and David believes that his family will be keen to try them out as well. “Having Brooklyn helped me a lot. I like buying him outfits that I think look good on him and that´s the style I wanted to go for with these clothes,” he said, adding that the larger tops will also appeal to wife Victoria.

David stands to make an estimated ₤2 million from the deal, which will come in handy with another baby in the house after the recent birth of the Beckhams´ second son, Romeo. The deal adds to the Manchester United star´s long list of sponsors, which include Police sunglasses, Adidas sportswear, Rage software and Brylcream hair products.
