Who do you keep in contact with from Big Brother?

The only two I really see are Jade and Sandy because they live near me. I speak to Adele and I speak to Lee. But I don’t really speak to Tim anymore. I liked him at first – he was supposed to come over for a barbecue and he just gave some pathetic excuse. He bought one of these Satellite Navigation things and sent me a message saying, “Oh I can’t find where I’ve got to go, I can’t be bothered so I’m going home.” Which I thought was a bit pathetic, and I haven’t heard from him since. He’s a nice guy and he didn’t have anything bad to say about me in the house but there’s something going on there.

What was your favourite moment in the Big Brother house?

I quite like it when I talk to the cameras. There was that one moment where Kate was whacking the punchbag and saying it was me, and I turned to the camera and said: “Maybe she’ll be a bit more bearable now.” And the other thing was when they were all discussing having a revolution and I turned to the camera and said: “I’m not really bothered as long as there are certain people who aren’t over here when I’m here.” Those bits make me laugh a little bit. And if I wanted to be really horrible, I’d say when certain people I’m not too keen on got evicted in the second week. I must admit I can watch that bit again and again, but that’s being really nasty.

And your worst moment?

Sometimes when I listen to myself and I think, “God, you do sound overly camp”. And it’s that (pinches nose) nasal sound, you know, “Hello my name’s Alex.” I was a bit disappointed my constipation problems were huge news too!

What advice would you give to the contestants?

The best advice you can give anybody is to be yourself, although everyone would say they were just being themselves. But then Jonny said if he was anywhere else he would’ve hit me Tim and Sandy – he obviously doesn’t know much about Sandy because he was in the Black Watch and would probably murder all three of us put together. If certain people were being themselves, I have to say I’m glad I don’t know them in the real world.
