What do you really think of the Austin Princess you drive in Driven?
Well, when I first saw it I thought what a beast! But it was like Jade – I didn’t like her when I first saw her but then she grew on me completely. But it’s just when you’re sitting there driving you realise they don’t make them like they used to. There’s so much space in it and I’m learning to like it. I got to interview John Leslie because he was admiring the car, and if it wasn’t for the Princess I wouldn’t have met Victoria (Hervey). She was walking down the road and I shouted over and gave her a lift and she got in with her dog.
Are you going on the Cannonball Run race?
Apparently so – someone sent us a letter saying they’d heard we were real petrol heads and would we like to do it. I’d love to do it with my dad. I was on (UK comedy show) Shooting Stars and I spoke to Vic Reeves. He put the wind up me a little bit because he did the Gumball Rally and when they went through Latvia I think it was two people were murdered in a Ferarri. I’d love to do it though – I want a Lambourghini!
