‘I’M NOT A BAD MUM’ SAYS SADIE FROST OF ECSTASY INCIDENT

Jude Law’s wife, Sadie Frost, has responded to critics who have accused her of being part of a “wild London hedonistic set” after the couple’s two-year-old daughter swallowed part of an ecstasy tablet at a party.

“Jude and I aren’t some rock’n’roll couple… I still can’t believe all this happened,” she says. “I’m not a bad mum; nobody was taking drugs that afternoon. If I had seen anyone taking drugs that afternoon I would have been out of the door immediately.”

Her comments were sparked after reports of alleged drug taking at the super trendy Soho House club which had hosted the kiddies party. The private club, which includes Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams and Prince Edward among its members, insists it has a zero tolerance policy towards illegal substances.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Sadie revealed that the celebrations, thrown by the girlfriend of Supergrass drummer Danny Goffy to mark her son’s birthday, were “all mummies and grannies and cups of tea.”

“Soho House didn’t seem a particularly odd choice as a venue,” she explained, “since at weekends they do all sorts of family orientated events, have a creche, child friendly menus and…the small cinema room. It wasn’t a big party, and apart from the Supergrass element, it was celeb free.”

Saying that she doubted the pill in question belonged to one of the adults at the party, she speculated that it must have been on the floor. “There are drugs everywhere in London, and it’s pointless trying to speculate who left it.”

Sadie says that she and Jude, who was filming in Romania at the time, will not be suing the club as has been reported. “What would it achieve? I’m not going to start pointing fingers. Nick Jones, who owns Soho House, has called me and is very concerned. He has young children, too.”
