Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry took some time out from the Canada set of the upcoming X-Men sequel to support one of her favourite causes, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, in LA on Saturday night.
The soon-to-be Bond babe – known for her sassy short hairstyle – was more elegant than ever in a strapless gown and a slicked back 'do for the St Regis Hotel "Wish Night 2002" gala. The charity honoured the always-stunning star with the Celebrity Wish Granter award for her dedication to the organisation, which grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
"I care so much about children and especially those children who unfortunately may not live a life as full and as joyful as mine," she says of her longtime involvement with the charity. "And if I can give them a little bit of joy, it does my heart good to do that."
Halle wasn't the only celebrity stepping out to raise funds for Make-A-Wish: former model and Planet Of The Apes beauty Estella Warren and Chicago Hope star Peter Berg were also on hand for the special night.
