Suddenly Susan star Brooke Shields kicked off the New Year by revealing some happy news – she's pregnant.
The model-turned-actress and her husband Chris Henchy revealed this week that they are expecting their new arrival in May. And, says Brooke, the two are especially thrilled since they had been trying to start a family for some time. "Getting pregnant was not easy," she told the New York Post. "Chris and I had been hoping for a while, just waiting and wondering and trying."
The 37-year-old former cover girl also remarked that her writer-producer hubby is playing the perfect husband as her figure grows increasingly curvy. "Chris tells me every day how beautiful I am," she says. "He doesn't pay attention to my bulging stomach."
The happy couple have been married since April, 2001. The wedding was Brooke's second – she tied the knot with tennis star Andre Agassi in 1997, but the union ended after two years.
