The world's favourite maniac Ozzy Osbourne played host to the music world's biggest stars as controversial rapper Eminem stormed the America Music Awards in Los Angeles.
Ozzy hosted the ceremony with the help of his wife Sharon and their children Jack and Kelly. The former Black Sabbath singer's presentation was peppered with bleeps while he shared his considerable talent for using expletives with the audience.
Eminem, conspicuous by his absence, was the big winner of the night, emerging victorious all four categories in which he was nominated.
The hip-hop singer took home the gongs for best hip-hop album, best rock album, best male rock artist and best male R&B artist. Fellow rapper Nelly, who also had four nominations, was no doubt disappointed as the blond star defeated him in each category.
R&B singer Ashanti meanwhile won best new artist award. "Thank God for giving me the strength to do this," she said. "It's a great night."
Back home in London, Ms Dynamite has topped nominations for this year's Brit Awards. The 21-year-old singer is in the running for four prizes, including best album, in the award ceremony which will be hosted by Davina McCall next month. Breakthrough Garage act The Streets has also been nominated for four statuettes, while former "King of the Brits" Robbie Williams is only up for one.
