Fresh from appearances on US TV, Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell and her ex-lover James Hewitt may be hitting the small screen in the UK. But don't expect to see the two fielding questions from Larry King this time round – they'll be too busy building shelter and looking for food as they struggle to survive on the second instalment of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
There's no doubt royal watchers will be glued to their sets should Burrell and Hewitt go head-to-head on the ITV jungle reality show, which challenges stars to live on a deserted island. However, neither of the men has confirmed that he will be shipping off to battle bugs, the elements and other celebrity contestants on the popular programme.
Burrell's aide Mike Faux told the Daily Express: "All I can say is that they have asked Paul if he will appear on the show. What he chooses to do is up to him." Meanwhile, friends close to Hewitt told the newspaper that he is seriously considering the offer to take part in the series.
Last year's version of the show included glamour model Nell McAndrew and It Girl Tara Palmer-Tomkinson. DJ Tony Blackburn, however, took home the crown.
