Westlife's Bryan McFadden is celebrating the arrival of his second child after his wife Kerry gave birth to a healthy 7lb 7oz baby girl in Dublin. The happy couple have named their new daughter Lily Sue.
"I'm absolutely over the moon," said Bryan. "I feel delighted, it's another step closer to becoming a big family. We're all at Kerry's bedside today. I'd like to thank all of Westlife too for all their love and support." Lily Sue can expect plenty more love and support from her dad's bandmate, Shane Filan, who is to be her godfather.
Also looking forward to paternal celebrations is media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, 71. The News Corporation boss has announced that he and third wife Wendi Deng, 35, are expecting their second child this summer.
"I'm very, very happy," said the billionaire. "I'm lucky in my profession and I am lucky at home." Rupert already has four grown-up children, Prudence, Elizabeth, Lachlan and James, from his previous marriages. He also has a one-year-old daughter with Wendi.
