Radio presenter Zoe Ball will prove to the world that she's full of hot air when she makes a rather noisy contribution to this year's Comic Relief effort. The popular DJ has agreed to break wind on national TV in aid of a good cause.

Along with a host of other stars, Zoe will be appearing in a commercial for Walker's baked-bean flavour snacks, which will be sold for a limited period to raise money for Red Nose day. Football legend Gary Lineker is to play his usual "Mr Nice Guy" role in the ads, trying to steal crisps from a series of celebs. His efforts will be foiled, however, as each of his targets lets loose with a loud case of wind. He tries to sneak up on Zoe while she's in the bath, but he's rudely interrupted by a mysterious eruption of bubbles.

"I am great believer in doing things properly if you are going to do them," said Zoe. "So I gave it my best shot... I'm told I'm up for a Bafta, but it's the best actress farting in a tub award. I'll be gutted if I'm beaten after that performance."

Other stars offering their windy services include Emma Thompson, Ronan Keating and Liam Neeson. Walkers has promised £1 million to Comic Relief as part of a marathon comedy broadcast to go out on March 14. The company has also pledged one penny for every pack of Baked Beans crisps and Monster Munch sold.
