Rumours that Britain's favourite couple may be planning to emigrate were fuelled after Victoria Beckham's recent visit to Milan.
Italian newspapers are reporting the former Spice Girl had a secret meeting with the president of football club Inter Milan. There has been widespread speculation about her soccer ace husband David Beckham quitting Manchester United to join Inter, where he could earn a staggering £6 million per season. It is thought Victoria may have had talks with boss Massimo Moratti to discuss living arrangements in the Italian fashion capital.
The reports come after the recent changing room bust-up between David and United boss Alex Ferguson. Sports insiders say top clubs Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter are all interested in signing Becks, while Victoria's desire to head for sunnier climes has also been extensively reported.
A spokesman for the Beckhams has denied the Milan rumours, saying: "Victoria would not attempt to negotiate anything that concerned David's football career." Inter has refused to issue a denial, however, stoking up reports of an imminent signing. "I cannot confirm or deny this story," said a club representative.
