Victoria Beckham may be set to follow in fellow pop singer Kylie Minogue's fashionable footsteps, as she's in talks to design her own line of sexy knickers. But fans hoping to see Posh's svelte figure sporting the upcoming Marks & Spencer lingerie range in adverts will be disappointed – the star says she won't serve as a mannequin for the skimpy creations.
Apparently, the reason behind turning down the chance to star in the advertising campaign is her handsome footballer hubby David Beckham. British newspaper The Sun quotes a friend as saying: "She has made it very clear that, unlike Kylie Minogue, she will not be modelling the underwear herself. She told them that David would not be happy for her to do that."
Becks currently has a successful boys sportswear line with the high street retailer, and M&S was reportedly keen to follow up with a project with his high-profile wife. Victoria's pending M&S deal is said to be worth more than £1 million, about half what David was paid for his endorsement contract.
The undies trend seems to be hotting up with the celebrity set. In addition to Kylie, Elle Macpherson and Caprice have also launched their own lingerie collections.
