Footie ace David Beckham has lost his position to fellow heart-throb Justin Timberlake. But soccer fans needn't worry - the singer won't be leading England into the forthcoming European Championships.
Because it is David's title as world's sexiest man that Justin has annexed. The survey carried out by Marie Claire magazine found that British women have fallen head over heels for Justin.
It was a close-run race, however, as 29 per cent of readers couldn't decide between the two, while 20 per cent still thought reigning champion Becks was the more attractive. But it seems Justin's recent single, Rock Your Body, has rocked the hearts of British women.
Asked what made the 22-year-old so delectable, 38 per cent said his boyish good looks, while 29 per cent chose his dancing and 20 per cent opted for his toned physique. The hunky singer has also become only the second man to grace Marie Claire's cover. The first, of course, was his inimitable "sexiest male" predecessor.
"When it came to choosing our man of the year, there was only one candidate, Justin Timberlake," said editor Marie O'Riordan. "The whole world has gone Justin crazy. For us he's got the three Ss. Southern charm, a sexy six-pack and best of all he's single. What's not to like?"
