London's Dorchester Hotel played host to a galaxy of stars at the weekend, as Liza Minnelli threw a glittering 50th birthday bash for her husband David Gest.
Amongst the 250 people who came along to offer their best wishes were Diana Rigg, Sir Ian McKellan, Joan Collins, Stephen Fry and Rolling Stone Bill Wyman.
Liza and David arrived in a silver Mercedes and kissed for the cameras before heading in to the party. The 58-year-old, who herself performed at the celebration, was wearing a purple dress with matching ankle-length coat. "I'm giving this party for David because he is such a wonderful husband and I love him so much," she said.
Liza had her own 12-piece band flown in from the US so she could sing for her beau. And there was a host of her music industry peers in attendance to hear her performance. Tom Jones, Boy George, and Neil Tennant of The Pet Shop Boys were all amongst the audience.
And the legendary actress, who was determined to give her husband a night to remember, even designed a six feet tall birthday cake specially for the event.
