Ultimo model Penny Lancaster has shown that her legs can do more than just catwalk, by demonstrating some fancy footwork on the football pitch. The 31-year-old blonde took part in a charity football event at West Ham's Upton Park stadium, and she proved her mettle by scoring two goals.
Penny's efforts weren't enough to overcome the girls from Mis-Teeq, however, who eventually went home with the trophy. The band's singers Su-Elise and Alesha also delighted one spectator by inviting him onto the field to receive a football jersey.
The lucky 11-year-old, Ronnie Taylor, is to be named Britain's Youngest Crimefighter at the Police Bravery Awards on July 2. The young hero saved a neighbour's life by administering emergency first aid after she had been brutally attacked.
Sunday's event, which was staged in support of The Prince's Trust charity, also benefited from the participation of a host of other celebrities. Amongst the competitors were Rod Stewart, Atomic Kitten, Liberty X and TV chef Gordon Ramsay.
Penny's boyfriend Rod also put on an impressive display of footie skills, but he was outplayed by controversial garage stars So Solid Crew. The boys from Battersea emerged victorious, despite competition from Westlife and former athlete John Fashanu, in the male event.
