Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry has been voted world's sexiest woman in a global poll that drew over five million votes.
The 34-year-old, who last year became the first black woman to win a best actress Academy Award, is also the first black recipient of the honour. "Wow, it's a pretty heady title," said Halle after hearing the news. "I'm not so sure I live up to it, but thank you anyway for choosing me."
Asked what she considered her best feature, the actress joked: "My feet are my sexiest body part," adding: "People I find really sexy include Angelina Jolie, George Clooney and my mum."
Australian singer Holly Valance was narrowly beaten into second place while US songstress Britney Spears came in third. Last year's winner, Anna Kournikova, meanwhile had to settle for eighth position. The highest placed British entry was former S Club star Rachel Stevens, who was fourth.
The worldwide poll was carried out by FHM magazine through its various editions all around the world.
