Flamboyant Eighties star Grace Jones is leaving her wild ways behind her as she settles down with a very British aristocrat in the English countryside. Friends say the singer, who is best known for her provocative stage shows, may soon wed 35-year-old Viscount Wimborne.
The two met while Ivor was working as a record producer in New York last August, and immediately took a shine to each another. "Even though they come from very different backgrounds, there is a real chemistry between them," said a friend. "He's absolutely besotted with her and marriage is definitely on the cards." Grace has been staying at the Viscount's homes in Chelsea ever since, and the couple are dividing their time between London, Paris and New York.
Viscount Wimborne inherited £30 million when his father died in 1993, and he is currently spending £10 million on restoring the family's Northamptonshire estate. If he does decide to marry his new squeeze, who is 17 years his senior, Grace will become Viscountess of Ashby St Ledgers.
The 52-year-old, who played an androgynous villain in the Bond movie A View To A Kill, first became famous with singles like Pull Up To The Bumper, Slave To The Rhythm and Demolition Man.
