As the world buzzes with the news that star footballer David Beckham and his famous wife Victoria are moving to sunny Spain, the former Spice Girl says the change will be a "great experience" for the couple and their two children.

"I'm really proud of David and moving to Spain is a great experience for us as a family," said Victoria on Wednesday.

The couple have put their Manchester home on the market for £1.7 million, and are understood to be heading to a £3 million mansion in Madrid's exclusive La Moraleja neighborhood. However, famed Beckinham Palace at Sawbridgeworth, Herts will remain in the high profile pair's real estate portfolio.

As they adjust to the picturesque Mediterranean country, Posh and Becks will not likely have time to miss their loved ones – including Victoria's mum Jackie and sister Louise – for very long. "Both our families are being very supportive," said the star, "and are already planning their summer holidays in Spain."

"We'll be going out there quite a bit," says the Spice Girl's dad, Tony. "I think my wife will be spending half her life there now."
