Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster made a spiffing impression as they enjoyed a day out at Ascot on Wednesday.
The enduring rocker donned a top hat and tuxedo as he joined friends in a VIP box to watch the races. His 31-year-old girlfriend, model Penny Lancaster, was meanwhile clad in a low-cut polka dot dress and a wide-brimmed Philip Treacy hat.
Their outing came just as Rod's wife, Rachel Hunter, was filing for divorce in the United States. The New Zealand-born beauty, who now lives in Los Angeles, cited "irreconcilable differences" in the petition.
And she has asked her husband to declare all of his assets, indicating that she may claim part of his £100-million fortune. The request for financial disclosure appears to contradict Rod's assertion two weeks ago, that "the finances are agreed".
When they originally split in 1998, Rachel indicated she didn't want financial support. "I don't want to be paid for being Rod's wife," she said. "I don't believe anybody, no matter who they are, or how long they've been with somebody, should take any money from the partner."
