Most newlyweds would consider it rather bad form if their best man stole the show at their wedding. But sports agent Dave Gardner, who married former Hollyoaks star Davinia Taylor at the weekend, knew what he was getting himself into when he asked David Beckham to be his ring man.

The England skipper didn't put a foot wrong, however, as he shared the duties with his former Manchester United team-mate Phil Neville. And his son Brooklyn was also called on to help out, as a pageboy. Dressed in a white suit and tie, the four-year-old seemed to have inherited his father's keen sense of style.

Victoria was also looking stunning, in a fitted peach gown with lacing at the side. But it was Dave and Davinia's big day, and they looked every bit as glamorous as their famous guests. It was little wonder, considering her designer wedding dress alone cost a whopping £50,000.

After the ceremony in the chapel of Davinia's mum's home, the revellers moved on to a lavish reception. A series of marquees had been set up in the grounds of the Cheshire estate, with legendary soul group Sister Sledge performing in the main tent.

In all the event cost some £875,000. It's unlikely the happy couple are worried about covering the expense, however, as Davinia's father Alan gave them a cheque for £2 million as a wedding gift.
