OZZY FIGHTS COYOTE WHILE JACK LAYS SEIGE TO NEIGHBOURS

Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne has proven he is still the hardman of rock after tackling a vicious predator in his back garden. Apparently the family's beloved Pomeranian dog Pipi was taking a stroll on the Osbournes' lawn when it was suddenly attacked by a coyote. But when Ozzy heard his pooch's desperate yelping, he came racing to the rescue and fought off the ferocious interloper.

"Ozzy heard the screams and fought and got Pip out of the coyote's mouth," revealed the singer's wife Sharon. The incident came shortly after Lulu, their Chihuahua, died in another such attack.

It's been an action-packed week for the Osbournes, as their son Jack has also been caught up in a confrontation, albeit one of a slightly less heroic nature. Jack had seemingly lost patience with the noise of their neighbours' tennis playing, and decided it was time to teach them a lesson.

The 17-year-old sneaked out of his house in the middle of the night, armed with a paintball gun. And after he, and the camera crew who film his family's hit reality TV series, took up position in a large bush, Jack strafed the offending residents' tennis court with pink paint. His actions followed an escalating feud between the two households over the noise from all-hours tennis matches. Prior to the paint attack, Ozzy had suggested Jack play his drums in the back garden to try and teach the culprits a lesson, but it had little effect.

The late-night paintball revenge seems to have backfired, however, as the police showed up at the Osbourne home the next day to reprimand the teenager. Luckily for Jack, Hollywood's finest decided not to press charges.
