Fans of Seventies supergroup Abba will be delighted to hear that blonde singer Agnetha Faeltskog is set to make a comeback.
She is currently working on a new album which is due for release early next year. And with the success being enjoyed by the Abba musical Mamma Mia!, the singer looks set to top the charts once again after a two-decade absence.
"Agnetha chose music that is very important to her from earlier in her life," revealed producer Anders Neglin. "As we started to get into it we added our own colour to the songs." The disc includes cover versions of tracks by Cilla Black and Brenda Lee.
Agnetha was just 17 when she married guitarist Bjorn Ulvaeus with whom she formed the legendary group. After winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974, the foursome enjoyed a string of hits and became megastars all over the world.
The band split up in 1982, however, and more troubles followed as Agnetha's marriage to Bjorn disintegrated. Since then she has been living in virtual isolation on an island outside Stockholm. But it seems the 53-year-old is ready to step back into the limelight, and reclaim her title as the original Queen of Disco.
