There has been a stylish role reversal at the Tram Studios in north London, where catwalk queens Kate Moss and Helena Christensen are exhibiting their photographic work.
The two beauties are among a host of stars who have contributed snaps to a new show entitled The Other Side Of The Lens. The exhibition, which also includes offerings from Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie and Eric Cantona, is being staged to raise money for humanitarian causes.
In all, 80 big names from the worlds of fashion, cinema, sport and music have contributed to the exhibition. The novel show came together after the Red Cross teamed up with camera manufacturer Canon in an effort to help the world's most disadvantaged communities.
The photographic giant gave one of its new digital IXUS 400 cameras to each of the celebs who agreed to participate and asked them to take pictures of things that inspire them. Actor Dougray Scott has submitted a picture of his daughter Eden, while Kate Moss contributed snaps of herself partying with rock star pals at the Glastonbury festival.
Legendary footie ace Henrik Larsson meanwhile handed in one of the most straightforward images – a close-up portrait of his feet.
The Other Side Of The Lens will tour Europe, stopping in Paris, Berlin, Milan and Stockholm, before the photos go under the hammer at Christie's next year. "There's no better way of bringing hope and inspiration to life than through the photographic image," said Canon spokesman James Leipnik. "We are delighted to support the valuable work of the Red Cross through this innovative and highly creative project."
