Hollywood's favourite couple, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, have kissed and cuddled their way to victory in our Valentine's Day Most Romantic Couple poll. The pair's affection for each other seems to have been matched by our readers' adoration for them, after they took 20 per cent of the overall poll to win first place. Altogether nearly 5,000 people voted in the survey, with just over 1,000 choosing Brad and Jen as their favourite twosome.
But it was far from an easy victory, because a deeply smitten David and Victoria Beckham were hot on their heels right up until the close of voting. The footie ace and his pop star wife, who are well-known for their devotion to one another, epitomised romance for 17 per cent of those who logged on.
Also putting in a convincing showing in third place were Canadian chanteuse Celine Dion and her hubby Rene Angelil. The renowned singer and her husband/manager have been working together for 25 years and been married for the last ten.
Other celeb couples deemed romantically noteworthy included Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik and his betrothed Mary Donaldson, who came home in fourth place, and newlyweds Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer, in fifth.
Coming in surprisingly low in the sizzling partnership stakes appeal were Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz, who came tenth. Meanwhile, Spanish heart-throb Antonio Banderas and his wife Melanie Griffith had to settle for twelfth place.
