Another fetching outfit for David Beckham, another tongue-in-cheek, multi-million pound treat for TV viewers: the latest Pepsi ad has hit the small screen, following up the spoof Gladiator theme launched by popstars Beyonce, Pink and Britney.
In the sequel, Becks captains a leather-clad line-up of football hunks including Raul and Ronaldinho. Expressions range from noble to plain hard, and the boys' handmade costumes all offer individual features such as fur effect trims and Pepsi logos on the breastplate.
It's not the first time Becks has entered the arena on behalf of the soft drinks giant: the previous TV commercial depicted him challenging Real Madrid players to a penalty shoot-out after one of them stole his drink, and he'd also appeared as one of a team taking on Sumo wrestlers.
The new ad follows on from a commercial featuring metal-swathed Britney, Beyonce and Pink in a fight supervised by evil emperor Enrique Iglesias, who will reportedly be some £50 million the richer for his stint in a leather skirt.
