Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver looked rather chummy with Jennifer Aniston at the premiere of Along Came Polly on Wednesday. Indeed when the "mockney" cook arrived for the Leicester Square screening, he was immediately greeted with a hug from its star.
But he and his wife have apparently become bosom buddies with Tinseltown's favourite couple. Their friendship began after Jen and her husband Brad Pitt became fans of his TV show, The Naked Chef, which is broadcast on BBC America. The glamorous pair decided they would like to meet the kitchen maestro, so when Brad turned 40, just before Christmas, they invited Jamie and Jools to dinner.
"We hit it off because I was Brad's birthday gift," revealed Jamie. "They flew us over and we prepared all the food for his party. We've kept in touch ever since."
Brad seems to be developing a taste for all things British, but another of his whims has gone unsatisfied. The handsome actor asked his wife to pick up a joke policeman's helmet during her brief stay in London; the 35-year-old had such a packed schedule that she never got a chance to buy the souvenir, however.
