Beckhams get clamped during London visit

The Beckhams night out in London this week hit a bit of a snag after the couple's pricey Bentley was clamped by traffic wardens.

Becks, who had taken his wife and in-laws to Mayfair's exclusive Drones club for an evening on the town, faced a £65 release fee and £50 ticket after his driver illegally parked the vehicle in a space reserved for residents only. "The driver was only gone for a few minutes to do some bits and bobs but when he got back it was already clamped," said an insider.

While the couple and their family enjoyed a relaxing three-hour meal, the driver rushed to sort out the mess. Any major inconvenience to the celebrity couple was avoided, however. After the driver's quick dash into the club, the £115 fine was paid, resolving the issue.

What seemed to cause more of a scene – and also made headlines in the morning papers – was the couple's choice of ensembles for the outing. Despite frosty weather, Victoria wore summer sandals, a tiny cardigan and a pink micro-mini, while David was sporting a somewhat surprising addition to his usual wardrobe - a Pringle sweater in pastels matching his wife's outfit.
