With their planned December wedding postponed due to work commitments, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen – also known as Ali G – and former Home And Away stunner Isla Fisher are now aiming to marry this summer, revealed the bride this week.
And Isla has expressed her intent to convert to Judaism so the two can celebrate traditional nuptials in line with the groom's religious beliefs. "I will definitely have a Jewish wedding just to be with Sacha," she says. "I would do anything… to be united in marriage with him. We have a future together." The pretty brunette, who has just been cast in a Hollywood film, has been studying Hebrew and attending a synagogue in preparation for the conversion.
While they haven't decided on a location for the wedding – "It would be fun to do it in Staines, don't you think!," Isla says, referring to fictional Ali G's hometown – their home base afterwards will be in the UK, where they'll live in Sacha's home in Hampstead, North London.
As the actress prepared to jet off to LA, where her future husband is currently working, she insisted the move wouldn't be permanent. "I don't think we'll move to LA," she said. "We love Britain too much."
