The long-running rivalry between Rod Stewart's estranged wife Rachel Hunter and his current flame Penny Lancaster seems to have come to an end.
Weeks after lingerie company Ultimo dropped Penny in favour of her fellow stunner Rachel as their spokesmodel, the two beauties have had a morning tete-a-tete, putting an end to the tension.
"(They) are both adults," said a spokesperson for Rachel. "They met in a café in Los Angeles for a friendly breakfast to chat through things." The pair were spotted exiting the eaterie together, Rachel in a denim miniskirt and flip-flops, Penny wearing torn jeans and trainers.
Both leggy, statuesque blondes, Rod's former and current partner have been competing for headlines lately. After Rachel received five times her rival's £200,000 Ultimo fee, Penny emerged with a £1 million contract with model agency Elite. However, mum-of-two Rachel was once again the talk of the town when she posed for the April issue of Playboy magazine.
Rumours of a feud were fuelled last year after a scantily-dressed Penny performed a provocative dance for her rock star beau at the World Sports Awards in Monaco, as his former spouse looked on. And when Rachel suddenly withdrew a divorce petition just days after she filed it, many speculated the sudden change of heart was part of a plan to derail Rod's rumoured intention to wed his longtime girlfriend.
