Though Anne Robinson has admitted to beauty treatments, including Botox, in the past, TV viewers were still stunned to see the quiz show host showing off a seemingly transformed face when she appeared on The Terry And Gaby Show this week.
The trademark, thin, pursed lips and sharp-eyed looks that helped her become a household name as she curtly told contestants "You are the weakest link - goodbye!", have been replaced by a softer, more youthful visage.
"She looked remarkably different – to the point I scarcely recognised her," said one production staff member for Terry And Gaby.
As speculation as to what procedure Anne might have undergone ran rampant in the press, the star revealed the new look is all down to cosmetics. "I have a new make-up artist who makes my eyes and lips look bigger," she says.
This isn't the first time the TV celebrity has spoken about her evolving looks. "You just have to accept the ageing process," she said in 2002. "I had Botox a year ago, but I haven't bothered since… (My husband) Penrose keeps saying he wants me to look like Katharine Hepburn in On Golden Pond."
