Carol Vorderman has done it again. After first ditching her frumpy image five years ago, when she arrived at the Baftas in a strapless minidress, the TV presenter is vamping it up once more in a series of sizzling shots for GQ magazine.
The photographs reveal the Countdown presenter in a series of risqué poses and outfits. In one picture she sports a saucy corset and fishnets under a pink mac, while in another, wearing spike heels and black lingerie, she provocatively caresses her black-stocking-clad leg.
"There is a school of thought that when you hit 40 you should have a perm and wear skirts two inches below the knee," says the 43-year-old. "Bugger that. I am not offending anyone. What is wrong with being a bit more lively?"
Ten years ago Carol, who has an IQ of 167 and is a member of Mensa, was a size 16 and had a very different image to the one she has cultivated in recent years. Slimming down to a size 10, she went on to pen several best-selling diet books and recently joined the ranks of "thinking man's crumpet" in a magazine poll.
Carol appears in the May issue of GQ magazine, on sale April 1.
